"Town Too Tough to Die", first stop was the 100 year old Longhorn restaurant. After enjoying a "Cowboy Breakfast" we were set for a day of shopping and gunfights. Note: The temperature is 108 degrees by 1 pm. We ventured into the "Bird Cage Theater" that is the home of the gold-trimmed Black Moriah hearse that transported the losing team at the OK Corral shoutout to Boot Hill cemetery. Next stop the "Tombstone Epitaph" that reported the gunfight at the OK Corral.
We visited C.S. Fly's photo gallery which included pictures of Geronimo and his surrender.Next stop was the OK Corral where story tellers recounted October 26,1881.
At 2:oo pm (remember it is 108 degrees) we paid to see the reenactment of the shootout at OK Corral. They did a fabulous job but I liked it better when Kurt Russell and Sam Elliott played the part.
As we headed out of town we stopped by Wyatt Earp's home and the Boothill Cemetery which is open to the public.
