Winter Weather

Hope all of our friends and family are staying warm and enjoying this winter weather. Steve and I have had the last three days off to watch the snow accumulate here in Rolla, M0. When it finally stopped we had about 7 inches of snow and sleet on the ground. The first evening we went out to play in the snow but after two days of watching it fall it wasn't near as intriguing (I guess we are getting old).

Not much has changed here...I am more settled in my job and the charting is much easier after three weeks of practice. Steve continues to enjoy the outdoor life here...his hiking pack sits by the door just in case he gets the chance to sneak off to the woods. Our recruiters are working on assignments for May...hard to believe that it will be spring and time to move on soon.

Spending the day at "Maramec Spring Park"

Hunter has come to Rolla to spend the weekend.
After breakfast at the "Sawmill Cafe" we spent the day at Maramec Spring Park feeding the trout, hiking the trail, and watching the bald eagles.

Steve and I have been in Rolla, MO for one week. We are mostly unpacked in our apartment and enjoying the "small town" atmosphere. Downtown Rolla has brick sidewalks and old-fashioned lamp posts...enjoying the slower pace of Rolla is a welcome change from hectic Tucson. Historic Route 66 runs through Rolla...we spent our first night at "Zeno's" motel...where the spirit of Route 66 lives on.

Happy New Year 2009

Steve and I have enjoyed a quite New Year's Day in Rolla, MO. We want to wish all of our family and friends a Happy and Prosperous New Year.

Sherry... just to let you now my Christmas Cactus is loving the weather in Missouri, thank you it is beautiful.
While we were home for the holidays we enjoyed many family gatherings. Christmas Day with the Butler Family...the day after Christmas with Danny, Missy, Madison, MaKayla and Alec (Alec did not want to be included in our pictures). Lastly the Ahrens Family Christmas...We could not believe how much Hannah has grown, how tall Kayla has gotten or how long Crystal's hair has grown (Hunter did not want to be included in the "Grandchildren Picture")
